This branch of Sainsburys is really accessible, as you can easily get the bus to it by stopping opposite Ikea, or walking from the main Braehead bus station; also there are huge car parks and in branch taxi phones available, and a bike rack.

The clothing section is very generous, with men's, women's and children's clothes, all at reasonable prices.  A lot of their 'basics' clothing such as T-Shirts are Fairtrade branded as well, which is a great touch for such affordable range.  They have a GokWan range which is designed to reflect current catwalk looks and also a good range of smart office clothes, as well as a changing range of seasonal offers.  I don't always find what I am looking for, but they do have a well organised sale rack when the discounting time takes place, sometimes they have 25% off weekends and at other times will have seasonal reductions.  Shoes and boots wise, very good for vegans as a lot are not leather (and those which are, always say).

The books and homewares section is always worth a browse, they have a technology section as well which sells phones, TV's, DVD's, docking stations and the latest games and consoles.  I'm fond of their newsagent range as they tend to have magbooks and a good range of newspapers and magazines.

There are fishmonger, deli and bakery sections, and aisles and aisles of fresh produce.  As this is a larger store they often have organic goods, as well as 'free from' and luxury 'be good to yourself' things, and also specialist cookery ingredients.   Sainsbury's fish range is impressive, a lot of it is MSC certified, more so than other supermarkets in my experience.

I could spend ages browsing the vegetables as they always seem to present stuff so nicely, and at the end of the day you might find a bargain or two.  They sell everything from basics range to exotic fruit, and everything is clearly labelled and priced.  Their bakery has some really unusual things too.. lovely loaves!

Sainsburys has always been one of my favourite supermarket chains and this is one of their best stores. A huge space that includes a large clothes section, an excellent selection of homewares (don't even get me started on my love for their amazing bakeware section), a good range of electrical items, stationery and cards, sports equipment and seasonal ranges. There is also a cafe on site and a petrol station.

All of this is great, but you might be worried this would encroach on the main business of a supermarket, selling food! Thankfully this store is big enough that there's still plenty of space for this. There is a great selection of quality fresh food, including dairy, fruit, vegetables, baked goods and meat as well as all the staples you would expect.

My only criticisms of this Sainsburys are the limited choice in the red wine and beer sections and the occasional tendency to be understocked on certain items or to take a while to restock. Even with this in mind this is still my supermarket of choice.

Clothes, Magazenes, Food, cafe, TV's & few other missalanious things.

About the same size if not bigger than the Darnley store, does take a bit of getting used to in trying to find all the stuff your looking for but garanteed to find what your looking for unlike some of the smaller local/metro/express stores.

This Grocery Behemoth is situated across from the Ikea and almost the same size. If it is not equal in space to a Tesco Extra - it is damn close.

Like all of these superstores, they are not located near anyone. Nobody lives next to a Sainsbury's Superstore, unless you are living under a motorway. But there is decent public transport and a lot of parking for this store and the nearby Braehead complex.

This place contains the vast array of goods that are now common in these superstores. Clothing, electronics, housewares and of course groceries. In all of the departments, it does most of the reasonably but none very well. Only in grocerys does this store shine, I would travel down here to shop for auto supplies when Halfords is next door.

It has all of the regular sections when you finally get to the grocers, fishmonger, cheese counter, bakery and such along the back.

I would complement them on their produce and bakery. I do prefer their bagels to the titchy ones avalable at Marks.

Two things I get when I am here. Decent bagels and Lipton Peach Ice Tea in big bottles.

They also have pretty good bargains on imported beers and whisky. Keep an eye out for the red tags for sales.

The biggest Sainsburys I have been in.

It's much like a big Tesco like the one in Springburn, with clothes, DVD's and things for in the home as well as food.

Loads of checkouts, including self service ones with a really good meat counter and bags of choice on products that make wish I came here more often than the local ones where choice is limited.

They also have good produce and loads of room to move around unlike some of your big Tescos or the wee Morrisons in Patrick if you're going for a trolleys worth.

Maybe not the best idea in Sainsbury's though, as some of the stuff is pretty expensive.

I do love their chicken though. I have to say..

    NOT open 24 hours.
